Carlie Kotyza-Witthuhn
Focused on the future for Eden Prairie
Education
Minnesota children deserve a world-class education. Whether your little one begins their learning adventure at home with a parent or at a childcare center, high quality early care and learning is essential. All students and educators thrive in schools where they feel safe, welcome, and supported for who they are. It’s essential to balance using technology with old-school methodology as well as academic rigor with technical or vocational options to best prepare our kids for what comes next.
Economy
Doing well in business by doing good in the world is a concept Carlie studied in the entrepreneurship program at the University of St. Thomas. The idea of “maximizing shareholder wealth” is at odds with advancing the common good. As we enter the Artificial Intelligence Age, we must protect workers and small businesses as they compete with corporate behemoths. Investing in priorities like sound statewide infrastructure, workers rights, and tech integrity will allow our economy to grow well into the future.
Equity
Minnesota is for everyone, equally. In our community, we look after one another. No matter where you come from, who you love, how you worship, or what you look like, everyone deserves a safe place to live, access to affordable healthcare, paid time off to care for themselves or loved ones, equal pay for equal work, and an environment free from discrimination. Together, we will champion policies that allow all Minnesotans to be themselves and build a better future for all of us..
